Stellazio Coins

In Final Fantasy IX, you might have run across a ! that gave the name of a Zodiac sign, when picked up. These are Stellazio Coins. They are unique collectible coins found throughout the world. And believe it or not, there is someone who wants them badly. Visit Treno, and go to the left of the Card Tournament complex. Follow the path up, until you get to the end. Inside you will find the Stellazio Queen. Each time you bring her a coin, she will reward you. The rewards vary from items to Gil, but they get better as you bring her more coins.

Here is a complete list of the rewards you will receive. It does not matter what coin you give the queen first, second or anything. The rewards are still the same. The coins can be difficult to find sometimes. Below is the locations of each coin in the game. I apologize for not placing them in the order they appear in the game. I cannot remember the right order. So I have placed them in the order of the Astrological Zodiac.

Location: In the water on the right side, at the entrance of Daguerro	Location: Right hand chest, in the entrance of Ipsen's Castle
Location: In a chest in the core of the Invincible.	Location: Dali, in the windmill
Location: Behind Treno item shop in the slums	Location: Toss 10 Gil into the Treno's fountain 13 times
Location: Burmecia, behind the overturned cart, near the entrance.	Location: Near Neptune's statue, that transports the party to Alexandria's harbor
Location: In the Black Mage Village Inn	Location: Madain Sari, to the right of the fountain
Location: Below the spring in Quan's Dwelling	Location: Left of the Pickle Cart in Lindblum. (During reconstruction)

When you obtain and deliver the 12 coins, the Stellazio queen will then inform you that there is a 13th coin. She will give you back the coins you gave her, and say the coins will provide you with the clues to the final coin. I never was able to figure out the location, via the clues on the coins (seen in the Key Item menu), but I did look on playonline.com at the time. The Opinichus coin is located right where the Scorpio coin was located. Take this coin back to her, and you will receive Cinna's Hammer. This may not seem like much, but there are two uses for it. Check the Side Quest section for more details.
